Business climate index for renewable energy rises in September

Munster, 10. October 2005 - The business mood in the regenerative energy sector has noticeably improved after the German elections in September of 2005. The business climate index of the International Economic Platform for Renewable Energies (IWR) rose from 97.9 points in August to 102.4 points in September of 2005. The businesses in the renewable energy sector have assessed the current business situation in September as better than the previous month. In addition, the business prospects over the next six months are viewed significantly more optimistically than in the previous month. “The present business climate index reflects the great relief of businesses and the expectation that the grand coalition will allow the existing policy towards renewable energy to continue”, said IWR Head Dr. Norbert Allnoch.
