Scientific disctinctions awarded to co-founder of Sander + Partner GmbH

Bern-Liebefeld - Two renowned distinctions have recently been awarded to Dr. Kärin Nickelsen, Bern/Switzerland, for her outstanding scientific work. Dr. Nickelsen is co-founder of the Sander + Partner GmbH.

The “International Union of the History and Philosophy of Science” chose Dr. Nickelsen for this year’s Young Scholars Award. This distinction is awarded only once in five years to excellent scholars from all over the world. In 2005 the award ceremony will be held in Beijing/China.

Furthermore, Dr. Nickelsen was elected new member of the Young Academy (“Junge Akademie”), Berlin. Membership in the Young Academy is limited to fifty outstanding junior scientists from the German speaking countries. The Academy’s activities focus on the interface between science and society. The Young Academy is supported by the two oldest German Scientific Academies, the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Wissenschaft and the Volkswagen Stiftung.
