Dauerthal (renewablepress) - ENERTRAG, in cooperation with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and Bolivian energy companies Ende Corani and Ende Guaracachi, has successfully implemented the Powersystem software in Bolivia. This software solution enables the remote monitoring and maintenance of wind energy installations, thereby supporting the secure integration of renewable energies into Bolivia’s national power grid (SIN).

On March 20th, 2025, a Bolivian delegation paid a visit to Dauerthal to further strengthen international cooperation.

Álvaro Arnez, Deputy Minister for Alternative Energy at the Ministry of Hydrocarbons and Energy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, stated:

"We would like to thank ENERTRAG for showing us their control center for wind and photovoltaic plants. At the same time, we were also impressed by the first electrolyzer they designed, built, and commissioned in 2011 based on alkaline electrolysis. The Bolivian government, through this delegation, expresses its gratitude for this opportunity and reaffirms its strong interest in realizing the first pilot project with German technology."

Arturo Loayza Ordonez, ProTransition Component Coordinator at GIZ, noted:
"The close and productive cooperation with ENERTRAG has played a key role in integrating innovative technologies into the Bolivian energy sector. The Powersystem not only improves the operational management of wind farms but is also contributing to the long-term stability and sustainability of the power supply."

Dr. Felix Bübl, Head of the Powersystem Department at ENERTRAG, added:
"With our Powersystem software, we are setting new standards in the integration of renewable energy. Our system has been successfully monitoring wind farms in Bolivia for a year now – and today, Bolivian ministers are discussing with ENDE and GIZ at our headquarters how a combination of renewable electricity, green hydrogen, district heating, and battery storage can pave the way for a reliable and cost-efficient energy transition. Our goal is clear: Green energy should not only be environmentally friendly but also more affordable and reliable than fossil alternatives – and we are convinced that our software can accelerate this transition."

The successful implementation of the Powersystem in Bolivia and the discussions during the delegation's visit to Dauerthal highlight ENERTRAG’s and its international partners' commitment to establishing modern and reliable technologies in the energy sector. Furthermore, ENERTRAG appreciates that key national partners in South America, such as Bolivia, place their trust in the extensive expertise from Dauerthal to jointly shape the future of sustainable energy supply.

About ENERTRAG

At ENERTRAG, we have been advancing the energy transition for over 25 years. Our more than 1,200 employees design, build and operate integrated power plants. These are based on combinations of wind turbines, solar installations, our own grid infrastructure, batteries and electrolysers. These technologies provide reliable, on-demand electricity, heat and green hydrogen – completely replacing fossil fuel power plants.

With our own plants, we generate around 2,000 gigawatt hours of electricity from the wind and sun every year and have been producing green hydrogen since 2011. Based on this, we are developing energy projects with a capacity of over 30 gigawatts in nine countries on four continents.

ENERTRAG embodies the global energy supply of the future: sustainable, secure and regionally anchored – protecting our planet for current and future generations.
