- Vorbereitungen für die 1. Welt-Windenergie-Konferenz und Ausstellung,
Berlin 4.-8. Juli 2002, laufen auf Hochtouren: Konferenzvorsitzende sind
bestimmt und Call for Papers ist verfügbar -

Brüssel (iwr-mailservice) - Die 1. Welt-Windenergie-Konferenz und
Ausstellung (WWC), die vom 4.-8. Juli 2002 in Berlin veranstaltet wird,
kann inzwischen auf die Unterstützung von mehr als 40 internationalen
Windenergieorganisationen und -verbänden bauen. Der kürzliche gegründete
Welt-Windenergie-Verband wird Hauptveranstalter der Konferenz sein. Eine
vollständige Liste der unterstützenden Organisationen finden Sie weiter
unten.

Auf dem ersten Treffen des WWC-Steering-Komitees am 1. Juli in
Kopenhagen bestimmten die beteiligten Organisationen nun die Mitglieder
des WWC-Exekutiv-Komitees:

WWEA-Gründungs-Präsident Preben Maegaard dankte dem BWE für seine
Initiative, alle Windenergie-Organisationen weltweit zur ersten globalen
Windenergieveranstaltung einzuladen: "Die Konferenz in Berlin wird ein
neues Kapitel bei der weltweiten Verbreitung der sauberen Windenergie
eröffnen. Zum ersten Mal kommen Windenergie-Akteure aus allen Kontinenten
zusammen, um gemeinsam eine solche Veranstaltung durchzuführen."

Der vor wenigen Tagen veröffentlichte Call for Papers zeigt das breite
Themenspektrum auf, das während der Welt-Konferenz behandelt werden wird:
Politische, technische, ökonomische und Ausbildungsthemen sowie Aspekte
des kommerziellen wie nicht-kommerziellen Technologie-Transfers werden auf
der Veranstaltung diskutiert werden. Der Call for Papers kann unter der
unten angegebenen Adresse bestellt werden.

Clean Wind Power for the Whole World
- Preparations of the 1st World Wind Energy Conference and Exhibition,
Berlin 4-8 July 2002, are moving ahead: Chairpersons announced and Call
for Papers now available -

Brussels (iwr-mailservice) - The 1st World Wind Energy Conference and
Exhibition (WWC) which has been prepared since the beginning of January
can today count on the support of more than 40 international wind energy
organisations and associations from all continents. The newly founded
World Wind Energy Association will be the main promoter of the event.

After the first meeting of the WWC steering committee in Copenhagen on 1
July, the supporting organisations have now announced the members of the
WWC Executive Committee:

WWEA founding president Preben Maegaard thanked BWE for its initiative
to invite all wind energy organisations world-wide to the first global
wind energy event: "The conference in Berlin will open a new chapter in
the global dissemination of clean wind energy in the whole world. It is
the very first time that all wind energy actors from all continents come
together to jointly organise such global event."

The WWC Call for Papers which has been published shows the wide range
of topics that will be tackled during the global wind energy event.
Political, technical, economic and educational/training issues as well as
aspects of commercial and non-commercial technology transfer will be
raised during the conference. The WWC Call for Papers can be ordered at
