Freiburg - Cleantech is the growth market of the 21st century. US-based Bank Merrill Lynch reports that we are entering a "Sixth technological revolution" with the coming of Cleantech. The rise of this market will provide a significant increase in investment potential and forseo is set to play a strategic role in the future development of the cleantech market.

forseo's core business activities now focus on capital acquisition and direct investment for the cleantech sector. This new focus is the result of the merging of PerEnergy with forseo. The new company will be managed by Peter W. Heller, the owner and managing director of PerEnergy. forseo will broaden its investment focus beyond renewable energies to the entire cleantech sector, including green automotive, new materials and green chemicals.


Investments

During the first half of 2009, forseo will merge with PerEnergy, a cleantech investment firm. The new company will keep the forseo name, making direct investment in innovative cleantech a strategic part of forseo's activities. The investments focus on companies in the start-up- and growth-phases. forseo does not manage venture capital funds. The company invests its own capital, permitting for flexibility and a long-term investment horizon. The current investment portfolio includes among others SorTech AG in Halle, Germany, an absorption chillers manufacturer, as well as the Solaria Corporation in Fremont, California, a high-efficiency photovoltaic manufacturer.


Capital Procurement

forseo acquires capital for innovative energy projects and companies in the cleantech sector. Our clients benefit from extensive networks in finance and technology. The company seeks promising start-ups and projects for investment, which are required to undergo thorough due diligence. Companies must demonstrate a convincing business concept and have an outstanding management team before forseo approaches an investor.

forseo's experience and in-depth knowledge of the sector is based on a years of deal-flow, the implementation of cleantech financing events and market studies as well as the publication of cleantech financing publications.
