Conergy among the top four strongest growing companies in Germany

Hamburg, 27. October 2005 - Thanks to cumulative sales growth of 2,700 per cent in the last five years, Hamburg-based Conergy AG was awarded as the fourth fastest growing German technology companies in Deloitte’s Fast 50 Ranking. Nikolaus Krane, member of the Management Board of Conergy AG, accepted the award in Berlin from trend researcher and futurologist Prof. Matthias Horx for the company’s outstanding performance. “This honor rewards our employees’ passionate commitment, which daily inspires customers anew with our innovative products. It will spurn us on in continuing to build strongly on our global market share. Conergy is the best example that future-oriented jobs with high innovative power are being created in the German solar industry. We are on the best path to making solar technology ‘Made in Germany’ into a global export earner,” said an overjoyed Nikolaus Krane in reaction to the award. Since its founding in 1998, Conergy, currently with a workforce of more than 700, has established itself as a leading global provider of solar systems. This year Conergy is again anticipating sales to double to more than EUR 500 million, in conjunction with rapidly expanding revenues. Conergy is already represented close to customers in 15 countries on four continents and is in pole position to continue to benefit from the burgeoning global solar boom. Explaining the company’s growth strategy, from which investors began benefiting in March, Krane said: “Our aim is to offer energy consumers worldwide the most suitable regenerative system solution to cover electricity, heating and cooling needs.” Conergy AG’s initial public offering – oversubscribed 29 times – is considered one of the most successful in recent years.

Deloitte Technology Fast 50 worldwide

The first Deloitte Technology Fast 50 was staged in the USA in 1995. Since then, the program has attracted wide interest and its impressive list of participants’ is constantly being expanded. It is now hosted in eleven countries. In 1997 the national Technology Fast 50 was joined by regional Technology Fast 500 programs. The goal of the regional Technology Fast 500 is to honor the 500 fastest growing companies in a given region (North America, Europe and Asia/Pacific). In the USA and other countries a Technology Fast 50 or Fast 500 award amounts to a seal of quality and a recognized competitive factor in entrepreneurial success. Deutsche Börse Group and DVFA closely participated in the entire competition under the aegis of Deloitte with “CAPITAL” magazine as partner of the German Technology Fast 50. The link-up of the German Deloitte Technology Fast 50 with the European Technology Fast 500 additionally gives Conergy the chance to mount the winners’ rostrum as one of Europe’s most successful technology firms.
