Strategy of growth: Q-Energy acquires wind farm Bramstedt
- Renewable energy thanks to innovative wind projects
© Q-Energy Deutschland GmbHBerlin (renewablepress) - Q-Energy Deutschland GmbH is continuing its growth course with the acquisition of the Bramstedt wind farm. The six Fuhrländer MD / 77 turbines are located near Bremen and have been supplying more than 3,500 households with environmentally friendly wind power since 2007.
The turbines were owned by a fund advised by Goodyields Capital GmbH, Renewable Infrastructure Funds II S.C.S.: "Q-Energy recognized the repowering potential of the wind farm and implemented it pragmatically with us. The sale underlines our strategy of operational optimization and exploitation of market opportunities," says Christian Auer about the successful transaction.
Now it is time to make the park fit for the future. Q-Energy is consistently working to reduce the amount of land used. Enormous progress in plant technologies makes this possible.
The planning concept includes the reconstruction of the existing turbines. Where there are currently six turbines with a total rated output of nine megawatts, in future only three turbines with an output of 18 megawatts will produce renewable energy: A 50% reduction in the number of turbines with a simultaneous doubling of electricity production.
This simple example from the Bramstedt wind farm illustrates the potential of an independent and environmentally friendly energy supply in the future
Since 2018, Q-Energy has acquired over 40 wind farms in Germany and invested more than €290 million. With a project pipeline of more than 8 gigawatts, including more than 1 gigawatt in Germany, Q-Energy is one of the leading developers.
The success of the project development is based on an always partnership-based, transparent and fair cooperation with landowners, residents, communities and nature conservation authorities.
