The Renewables Academy expands international financial training offerings

Berlin (renewablepress) - The Berlin-based educational provider Renewables Academy (RENAC) is expanding its range of financial training courses in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency with an additional course of study. In addition to the successful blended learning training programme 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' and two online training courses, the Master of Science programme in Business Management with a focus on 'Green Energy and Climate Finance' will be launched for the first time in October in cooperation with the Berlin University of Applied Sciences (HWR).

"Knowing technology-specific risks and risk avoidance strategies is essential for financiers. This provides a comprehensive overview of the right assessment criteria at an early stage," says RENAC board member Berthold Breid." In the coming years, the demand for specialists will continue to rise, also in management positions in this field. We are looking forward to the future cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences (HWR) to further strengthen the know-how in the financial sector for renewable energy projects".

The prerequisite for the new programme is the successful completion of the 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' programme. It is internationally accredited and provides valuable practical knowledge for financiers and project developers. Renewable energy and energy efficiency projects can be made more profitable and risks minimized. This enables financiers and project developers to expand their portfolios with promising topics.

The blended learning training 'Green Energy Finance Specialist' starts again on 1st October. It consists of a 20-week online training course with eight different focuses and a 3-day interactive live seminar. The Green Energy Finance Specialist (GEFS) programme is accredited by the Financial Accreditation Agency (FAA). Interested parties can attend a free webinar on 27th August to gain an insight into the training programme.

The subsequent Master of Science in Business Management qualifies for management positions in international companies and organizations. The main focus is on project management and applications and the acquisition of strategic and operational skills. It is the first distance learning programme worldwide that offers the opportunity to earn a prestigious Master of Science in Business Management (MSc.) degree with a focus on green energy and climate finance. Both the training and the programme are taught in English. Graduates of the GEFS will receive approximately one-third of the required 90 ECTS of the Master's degree from the HWR.
