Asset Manager LUXCARA acquires 60 MWp of Europe

Hamburg - LUXCARA GmbH has acquired a further solar park of 60 MWp for its institutional investment fund FLAVEO S.A., SICAV-FIS. The open-field plant, build by Q-Cells, is part of Europe’s largest solar park with a total capacity of 91 MWp and constructed on the site of the former Brandenburg-Briest military airbase. Around 383,000 Q-Cells crystalline solar modules will be installed as well as inverters by ABB and Schneider. The solar park is planned to be connected to the grid by 31st December, 2011.

The acquisition was accomplished within a short time span, as LUXCARA also structured and provided the necessary bridge financing. The solar park will be part of the portfolio of FLAVEO S.A., SICAV-FIS, a Luxembourg institutional investor fund, for which LUXCARA acts as initiator and adviser.
