- Phoenix Solar is exemplary for its use of low emission vehicles and an electric car

Sulzemoos - Phoenix Solar AG (ISIN DE000A0BVU93), a leading photovoltaic system integrator listed on the German TecDAX, has been awarded the Deutsche Umwelthilfe (German Environmental Aid’s) \"green card for credible climate awareness\". The focus of the Deutsche Umwelthilfe survey was on the CO2 emission of executive and fleet vehicles. The \"green card\" was subsequently conferred on only four out of the 153 companies surveyed. The entire fleet of Phoenix Solar has an average CO2 value of 133 g CO2/km. With an emission of 113 g CO2/km, the vehicle fleet of the Executive Board is already below the target of 120 g CO2/km set by the EU and valid from 2012 onwards.

\"Phoenix Solar AG not only offers products which protect the environment but also places importance on sustainability in management. We combine entrepreneurial success with social responsibility and environmental commitment. We are therefore delighted that the Deutsche Umwelthilfe has bestowed the \"green card\" on us\", said Dr. Andreas Hänel, Chief Executive Officer of Phoenix Solar AG.

Moreover, the first electric car was added to the company’s pool of vehicles in December 2010. The Mitsubishi i-MiEV is put to intensive use by Dr. Andreas Hänel for much of the driving he does for business purposes. \"Whenever distances allow it I use the electric car. We will gradually be switching our vehicle fleet to electric mobility\", stated Hänel.

An electric power station was installed on the company premises in Sulzemoos to charge the vehicle. Phoenix Solar allows all owners of an electric vehicle to use this power station free of charge during business hours from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The power needed is 100 percent green electricity.
