Sulzemoos, 29 May 2006 / Phönix SonnenStrom AG has concluded a framework agreement with one of its existing suppliers for the long-term supply of solar modules. The purpose of the agreement is to supply thin film modules over the period from 2006 to 2011 with a guaranteed peak power of at least 158 megawatts. The agreement includes the option of raising the volume of modules to a total of up to 265 megawatts and, at the same time, of extending the term until 2012. This supply agreement is the largest and most comprehensive module supply agreement ever concluded by Phönix SonnenStrom AG.

"Phönix SonnenStrom has been using thin film modules since 2003. Especially as regards grid-connected large-scale photovoltaic power plants, we see great potential for this technology to reach economic viability in a few years time without subsidy programmes," commented Dr. Andreas Hänel, CEO of Phönix SonnenStrom AG. "The module supplies secured by this agreement will accelerate the growth of Phönix SonnenStrom AG and provide an excellent basis for the development of our business in the years ahead."
