REpower Systems AG: Early reappointment of Board members Vahrenholt and Schubert

Hamburg, 30 August 2005. In its meeting of 26 August 2005, the Supervisory Board of REpower Systems AG (WKN 617703) resolved the early reappointment of CEO Prof Fritz Vahrenholt and COO Matthias Schubert for at least another three years.

Mr. Vahrenholt and Mr. Schubert have been members of the Board of REpower Systems AG since the company’s foundation in 2001 and were originally appointed until the end of April 2006. Both were given three-year contracts running until 2009, and an option to extend the contract for a further two years. As the contract of CFO Pieter Wasmuth runs until the end of December 2007, the Supervisory Board is not currently expected to make any further appointments.
