From system vendor to solution provider for the wind industry

PRÜFTECHNIK, system vendor of Condition Monitoring Systems (CMS), continues to expand its direct market presence in the wind industry and now also provides competent services and expert knowledge for the plants of windpark operators. This new service concept will be presented at the 'HUSUM Wind' industry trade fair (20.-24.09.2005) in Hall 4 Stand 4A60. Based on its long term collaboration with renowned component manufacturers – such as power transmission equipment specialists FLENDER – PRÜFTECHNIK has set the standard in the development of intelligent measurement technology for wind power plants. Windpark-specific CMS, such as WinTControl, are already widespread and in successful operation. In the course of this promising market presence, and due to the brisk demand from windpark operators, PRÜFTECHNIK is now appearing as the vendor-independent service provider in the wind industry with the following range of services: Service measurements on the power train (videoscopic analyses, torque measurements), remote diagnosis by qualified drive specialists, installation, commissioning and configuration of CMS. Project management is carried out at the newly created PRÜFTECHNIK Diagnostic-Center under the management of Dr. Edwin Becker. Dr. Becker, recently Condition Monitoring divisional manager in the service organization of a leading power transmission vendor, regards this expansion as just a logical step on the road for a system vendor to becoming a Condition Monitoring provider: "It is more economic for a windpark operator to obtain dependable measurement technology and excellent service from a single source, instead of having to grapple with different providers.
