BELECTRIC Becomes Member of the VBEW and BDEW

Kolitzheim - BELECTRIC Solarkraftwerke GmbH has become a member of the Verband der Bayerischen Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft e.V. (VBEW; Bavarian Energy and Water Association) and the Bundesverband der Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft (BDEW; German Association of Energy and Water Industries). Through its membership, BELECTRIC seeks to encourage dialog on important aspects regarding the economical and sustainable realization of the energy turnaround between all the parties involved. \"Lowering the cost of solar power generation through continuous innovation is the foundation of our company\'s long-term development strategy,\" said Bernhard Beck, CEO of BELECTRIC Solar Kraftwerke GmbH, explaining the company\'s philosophy. \"With the development of grid-stabilizing solar power plants, we are showing that solar power is on a par in terms of system responsibility with the functionality of conventional large power plants and that renewable energy sources can therefore be intelligently integrated in the existing power grids.\"

In this regard, BELECTRIC has been a role model for a considerable length of time,\" explained Hildegard Müller, Chairwoman of the General Executive Management Board of BDEW. She also explained that, thanks to the expertise in the various areas covered by the BDEW, it was possible to utilize the learning effects between the sectors and value-added steps. \"This allows us to offer companies in the renewable energy sources sector real added value in comparison to an association that deals with just one sector. The BDEW recently established an administrative department for renewable energy sources to allow for the increasing importance of regenerative companies,\" said Hildegard Müller.

As the state association of the BDEW, the VBEW represents the interests of over 360 member companies in Bavaria from the power, gas, district heating, water, and sewage management sectors. Its members include municipal companies and medium-sized enterprises as well as larger group companies. The overarching aim of the VBEW is to create the optimum framework conditions for economical, future-oriented, sustainable, and consumer-friendly power and water supply in Bavaria. The German Association of Energy and Water Industries (BDEW), Berlin, represents around 1,800 companies across sectors and value-added steps. Its members range from local and municipal companies through to regional and cross-regional companies. It represents around 90 percent of the sales volume for power, just over 60 percent of the sales volume for local and district heating, 90 percent of the sales volume for natural gas, 80 percent of drinking water production, and around one third of sewage disposal in Germany.
