TEMAKO Insurance Broker GmbH advises LDK Solar on the successful placement of a Warranty and Indemnity Insurance against Loss of Output for Photovoltaic Modules

Hamburg - This covers warranties which LDK Solar provides for a possible reduction in performance of the solar modules over a period of 25 years and thus provides additional security for project decisions to financial institutions, investors and final consumers. This insurance is placed with Munich Re.

Six months work and consultation, including attendance at the comprehensive audit of the factories in Suzhou, Nanchang and Xinyu (all in the People’s Republic of China) performed by Munich Re, produced a positive evaluation of the existing quality standards and the manufactured solar modules by the leading reinsurer worldwide.


LDK Solar (NYSE: LDK) is one of the leading manufacturers of polysilicon and solar wafers for the production of solar cells. After taken over Best Solar, the production of solar modules is now also one of the lines of business of LDK Solar.
