Small wind turbines are becoming the latest subject of interest in the renewable energy sector

- Held in March 2010, New Energy Husum will be the most important international small wind turbine event of the coming year

Husum/Bonn - The demand for small wind turbines has grown considerably in recent years. While small wind turbines have been part of everyday life in some areas within the USA and China over decades, especially in areas far off the grid, the desire to generate power with the aid of small wind turbines has now also become a real trend in Europe.

\"The global importance of small wind turbines has been underestimated up to now. The market potential is enormous, and there are many different areas of application. In many countries across the world small wind turbines will become one of the most important pillars of energy generation in the next few years!\" is how WWEA general secretary Stefan Gsänger describes the rosy prospects of the industry for the future. \"We are pleased to be able to support New Energy Husum on its way to becoming the most important trade fair for this sector\", says Gsänger about the co-operation with Husumer Messegesellschaft.

Every March, New Energy Husum (18th-21st March 2010) showcases all the possibilities of renewable energy generation. Since 2009, as well as solar power, bio and geothermal energy, Husum’s exhibition concept has also included small wind turbines.

\"Over 30 small wind turbine companies have already registered for the trade fair in Husum in March 2010 how New Energy project manager Kira Sönksen describes the roaring success of next year’s exhibition and congress event.

The exhibition by the small wind turbine manufacturers in March 2010 will be accompanied by an informative congress on all four days of New Energy, announced New Energy Husum programme co-ordinator Gudrun Kromrey. \"On the following congress days we have planned another German WindEnergy Association (BWE)-symposium on the topic of small wind turbines.\"
