Bright outlook for Ph

Sulzemoos, 8 December 2005 / The performance of Phönix SonnenStrom AG (ISIN DE000A0BVU93) is above target in the current financial year. The company is set to exceed its sales and EBIT (earnings before interest and taxes) forecasts of EUR 94.1 million (2004: EUR 67.2 million) and EUR 5.6 million (2004: EUR 2.8 million) respectively, both of which were recently revised upwards. Management expects the supply volume of 25 megawatts of solar modules projected for this year to be exceeded.

International Business has performed particularly well in the current financial year. Sales in this division are expected to have at least doubled by 31 December 2005 over the previous year (2004: EUR 2.65 million). Phönix SonnenStrom AG is therefore well on its way on its chosen path of internationalisation.

Phönix SonnenStrom AG predicts that the global photovoltaic market will grow by around 25 percent in 2006. The company is planning to expand more swiftly than the market and boost the volume of available solar modules by around 40 percent to 35 megawatts. This is a clear result of the expansion of procurement and the number of new staff hired in this department. A sales target of a minimum of EUR 140 million has been set for 2006, and EBIT is to surpass EUR 8 million. In 2006, the share of international business is to be raised to more than 10 percent. Sales are expected to leap to EUR 200 million and more in the financial year 2007.
