Mobile vibration measurements on wind power plants are an integral part of condition-oriented maintenance if they are carried out properly and according to specified guidelines. Consequently, it is important to make sure that measurements are also only carried out under sufficient drive train load and defined wind conditions. But, because not every plant manager is a measurement technician and diagnostic specialist at the same time, PRÜFTECHNIK is presenting, for the first time, a modular service concept that covers all aspects of the mobile data recording and analysis on WPP at the ‘HUSUM Wind’ trade fair (20.09.2005) in Hall 4 booth 4A60. The new ‘Condition Monitoring Partner Concept (CPC)’ for mobile vibration measurements on wind power plants is divided into three phases and fulfills the motto "You measure, we analyze": The first phase, which is accompanied on-site by experienced PRÜFTECHNIK specialists, includes familiarization in measurement basics, the operation of the mobile measurement instruments and the preparation of the requisite measurement locations. In the second phase, the production manager independently carries out the mobile vibration measurements several times a year as, locally, he can best make use of the suitable wind speeds (6 to 10 m/s) for a measurement. If any changes appear in running and operating behavior, he can go to the third phase if necessary where he has access to inspection, expert and alignment services, as well as specialist diagnosis or special measurements. In each phase, the collected measurement data are evaluated by the PRÜFTECHNIK Diagnostic Center and made available on the Internet. The measurement instruments are available on a rental basis. Further information can be obtained by eMail on request (diagnostic@pruftechnik.com), or can be discussed in person during the HUSUM Wind Trade Fair (20th -24th September) at the PRÜFTECHNIK booth (4A60) in Hall 4.
